Design: Yellow background with black “OXYGEN” text and flame over circle oxidizer symbol; hazard class number “2” at the bottom; UN 1072 marking
Size: 4 × 4 inches (10.2 × 10.2 cm)
Use:
- Applied to cylinders, packages, or small containers containing compressed oxygen
- Identifies the material as a Class 2.2 non-flammable gas with oxidizer hazard
- Required under DOT/TDG regulations for package-level identification
- Not a substitute for full-size 11 × 11-inch placards, which must be used on bulk transport vehicles
