Material: Adhesive label (vinyl or coated paper)
Design: Red background with black flame symbol, hazard class number “3” at the bottom
Size: 4 × 4 inches (10.2 × 10.2 cm) – smaller than transport placards, used for packages
Use:
- Applied to individual containers, drums, or cartons of flammable liquids (e.g., gasoline, diesel, methanol, crude oil)
- Meets DOT/TDG hazard communication requirements for shipping packages
- Not for vehicle/large container use (those require 11 × 11-inch placards)
